Welcome and thanks for stopping by.

My work is inspired by the the most interesting of subject matter, people!  And a love for painting that brings together the wonderful effects of light, color, and design to create a unique statement about my subject.

My accomplishments include public commissions from the Capitol Foundation to paint the official portrait of Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski. And by the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs to commemorate Medal of Honor Recipient Lt Cl Stan Adams and his wife Jean for the community center at The Dalles Veterans Home named in their honor. As fulfilling, are private commissions and paintings I have done of friends and family.

I am past recipient of a grant by The Celebration Foundation which supports Oregon artists based on their creative vision. In 2013 The University Club in Portland selected me as their Artist-in-Residence. I've have exhibited in several venues in the Northwest. I enjoy teaching and have taught at the Portland Art Museum, Multnomah Arts Center as well as giving private instruction..

My wife Alice and I are happily married and live with our cat Vinnie in the Alberta neighborhood in NE Portland.
